Goodbody Clinic: Shopify migration & bespoke clinic booking integration
We partnered with Goodbody Clinic to deliver a complete ecommerce transformation, migrating their existing WooCommerce website to Shopify, alongside a conversion-focused redesign and the development of bespoke functionality to simplify the customer journey.
With over 250 clinics to accommodate, the project went far beyond a typical Shopify build. The challenge was to create a seamless experience that made it easier for customers to discover the right services, find their nearest clinic and book with confidence.
The focus? Making a complex customer journey feel simple.
We approached the redesign through a CRO lens, rethinking the site structure, navigation and key customer touchpoints to reduce friction and create clearer paths to conversion.
A major part of the project was the development of a bespoke booking engine supporting 250+ clinics, designed to make finding and booking appointments as straightforward as possible.
Alongside this, we built a custom quiz finder to help guide customers towards the most relevant services for their needs, removing uncertainty and making the journey from discovery to booking more intuitive.
Inside the booking engine
Booking an appointment at any of 250+ clinics had to feel as simple as buying a product, so we built the booking journey directly into Shopify:
- Clinic finder: customers search by location to find their nearest clinic and see what it offers.
- Live appointment slots: available times are looked up in real time through the booking API, so customers only ever see slots that can actually be booked.
- Booked through the Shopify checkout: the chosen appointment is added to the basket and paid for through Shopify’s checkout, alongside any products, in one familiar flow.
- A management platform for the clinics: a bespoke bookings platform lets the clinics manage their own appointments behind the scenes.
It’s the kind of bespoke software and Shopify middleware we build when an off-the-shelf booking app can’t handle the scale.
All of this was brought together through a full WooCommerce-to-Shopify migration, giving Goodbody Clinic a more streamlined, scalable ecommerce platform built to support future growth.
